Solex Energy Ltd has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia-based automation technology company TT Vision Holdings Berhad to collaborate on advancing solar manufacturing automation, engineering excellence, and talent development in India.
The partnership combines Solex’s nearly three decades of solar manufacturing experience with TT Vision’s expertise in automation, inspection systems, and advanced equipment technologies. Under the MoU, TT Vision will provide specialised technical training to Solex engineers at its Penang facility in Malaysia and at its upcoming operations in India, focusing on automation, solar inspection systems, process equipment, and global manufacturing best practices.
Solex will also receive preferential access to TT Vision’s automation technologies to support research and development, new product introduction, and process optimisation. Meanwhile, TT Vision will benefit from Solex’s guidance on manufacturing setup, supply chain alignment, and government engagement as it expands into India.
The MoU is valid for an initial 36-month term and does not create any legal or financial obligations. Both companies will retain ownership of their respective intellectual property, with jointly developed technologies subject to future agreements.
Commenting on the partnership, Chetan Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Solex Energy, said:
“This partnership marks a significant milestone for Solex as we prepare for the next stage of growth driven by automation, innovation, and world-class engineering talent. Together, we aim to accelerate advancements that support India’s clean energy goals and elevate the standards of solar manufacturing.”
Goon Koon Yin, CEO of TT Vision Holdings Berhad, added:
“Our collaboration with Solex comes at a pivotal time as India emerges as a global solar manufacturing hub. We look forward to co-developing advanced technologies, supporting skill development, and contributing meaningfully to India’s renewable energy journey.”
The initiative is expected to strengthen India’s solar manufacturing ecosystem while fostering technological innovation and skill development in the sector.
