The collaboration focuses on ensuring energy security and fuel stability for the identified projects. Both companies will explore long-term power tie-ups, including captive and group captive arrangements. They will also assess the possibility of entering into long-term coal supply agreements to ensure steady fuel availability for the proposed thermal power project.

In addition, the MoU allows for joint project development and includes the option of forming a Joint Venture Company if required to execute specific initiatives. This approach is expected to provide operational flexibility and strengthen project implementation.

The partnership reflects a broader push for collaboration among central public sector enterprises to optimize national resources. By combining thermal and renewable energy development, the two Navratna companies aim to support industrial growth while aligning with sustainability goals. The initiative also highlights the increasing focus on securing reliable and cost-effective power solutions for large industrial operations in India.
