TotalEnergies ENEOS has entered into a long-term agreement with Jintana Intertrade, a well-known garment manufacturer in Thailand, to supply solar power to its production facility. The two companies have signed a 15-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) that will support the installation and operation of a 1.2 MWp solar photovoltaic system at the factory.
The partnership aims to help Jintana Intertrade shift towards cleaner energy while also lowering its electricity expenses. Under this agreement, TotalEnergies ENEOS will take full responsibility for the project. This includes financing, designing, installing, and maintaining the solar system. With this approach, the garment manufacturer does not need to invest upfront or manage technical operations, making the transition to renewable energy easier and more cost-effective.
The solar power system is expected to generate around 1,650 MWh of electricity each year. This amount will cover nearly 30 percent of the factoryโs total energy needs. This will not only reduce dependence on traditional power sources but also provide more stable and predictable energy costs over the long term.
The environmental benefits of the project are also important. The solar installation is estimated to cut carbon dioxide emissions by about 800 tons annually. This reduction is equal to planting thousands of trees or removing a large number of vehicles from the roads. Such efforts support global actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and fight climate change.
Jintana Intertrade sees this project as an important step in its sustainability journey. The company has shared that using renewable energy is part of its corporate responsibility goals. By reducing its carbon footprint, it also contributes to Thailandโs wider plans to achieve carbon neutrality in the future.
For TotalEnergies ENEOS, this agreement highlights its expanding role in the Southeast Asian renewable energy market. The company focuses on delivering solar solutions to commercial and industrial clients across the region. This project shows the rising interest among businesses in adopting clean energy to stay competitive and meet environmental standards.
The long-term nature of the agreement ensures a steady supply of green energy for Jintana Intertrade. At the same time, it reflects a growing trend where industries are turning to solar power as a reliable and sustainable energy solution.
