The newly established platform will manage 12 renewable energy and storage assets located across multiple Australian states, strengthening Equisโ€™ presence in one of the Asia-Pacific regionโ€™s fastest-growing clean energy markets. The portfolio includes utility-scale wind projects and battery energy storage systems (BESS), aimed at supporting grid reliability and accelerating renewable energy integration.

GreenPoint Energy will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Equis and will focus on the development, construction, and long-term ownership of renewable energy infrastructure assets in Australia. The launch formalizes Equisโ€™ renewable energy operations in the country, where the company has been actively expanding its clean energy investments since 2021.

Among the major assets under the platform is the Melbourne Renewable Energy Hub in Victoria, which includes a 600 MW/1.6 GWh battery energy storage system and is considered one of Australiaโ€™s largest battery storage projects. The project is expected to enhance grid flexibility and support the growing penetration of renewable energy sources into the electricity network.
