Invenergy, the largest privately owned independent power producer and energy infrastructure developer in North America, announced that it invested a total of $500 million in communities across the United States over the past year. This contribution adds to the billions the company has already directed into local economies since it was founded.

The latest investments supported jobs, strengthened public services, provided income to landowners, and contributed to economic growth throughout the country across Invenergy’s diverse portfolio of energy projects.Conor Branch, Executive Vice President for Development at Invenergy, explained that the company’s work in energy infrastructure naturally extends economic benefits into the communities where its projects are located.

He noted that each investment results in employment opportunities, increased tax revenue, and support for essential community services. He added that the company’s 2025 economic impact reflects Invenergy’s long-standing commitment to advancing local prosperity and helping communities move forward.

The company’s 2025 contribution reflects its full approach to developing energy infrastructure, which includes project siting, land acquisition, development work, construction, and long-term operations. Much of the investment came in the form of lease payments to landowners, wages and benefits for workers, and state and local tax contributions that helped fund schools, emergency response services, and other crucial community needs.
