Evren has signed a 750 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with one of India’s leading renewable energy implementing agencies, securing one of the country’s largest renewable energy project awards by capacity.
The agreement marks a significant milestone in the company’s growth strategy and strengthens its position in India’s rapidly expanding renewable energy sector. The project is expected to contribute to the country’s clean energy ambitions by supporting the deployment of large-scale renewable power.
With the latest award, Evren said it is developing a renewable energy portfolio exceeding 3.5 GW across India. The portfolio includes approximately 2 GW of solar capacity, 1.4 GW of wind projects, and 380 MW/762 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) located across Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, two of India’s key renewable energy hubs.
The company said the integrated portfolio is designed to support renewable energy integration, enhance grid reliability, and accelerate India’s transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy system.
Commenting on the development, Evren said the 750 MW PPA represents more than a commercial agreement, reflecting the company’s commitment to supporting India’s clean energy future. It added that its investments in solar, wind, and battery energy storage are aimed at promoting energy independence, enabling sustainable growth, and delivering long-term value to communities and the power sector.
