Alight, a Nordic solar developer and independent power producer, and Autoliv, a global automotive safety company, have inaugurated the 101 MWp Eurajoki Solar Park in Finland. The facility is among the largest solar parks currently in operation in the country.
Located in the municipality of Eurajoki in Finland’s Satakunta region, the solar park has been developed, owned and operated by Alight. The project supplies new renewable electricity to the Finnish grid under a long-term virtual power purchase agreement (PPA) with Autoliv.
For Autoliv, the agreement supports its transition towards renewable electricity across the EMEA region, while strengthening long-term energy resilience and contributing to its target of achieving carbon-neutral own operations by 2030.
101 MWp Solar Park Adds 12% to Finland’s Utility-Scale Capacity
The Eurajoki Solar Park is the first commissioned project in Alight’s growing Finnish portfolio. The company’s solar and energy storage pipeline in Finland has already surpassed 1 GW.
With a capacity of 101 MWp, the Eurajoki project represents approximately 12% of Finland’s total utility-scale solar capacity. According to Renewables Finland, the country had 842 MWp of utility-scale solar capacity across 45 parks at the end of June 2026.
The facility is expected to generate approximately 100 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 20,000 households.
The solar park is connected to the Finnish electricity system through Caruna’s network via a shared substation.
Long-Term PPA Supports Renewable Energy Procurement
The virtual PPA with Autoliv forms a key component of the project’s commercial structure. Corporate PPAs are increasingly being used by companies to secure more predictable energy costs while supporting the development of new renewable generation capacity.
For Autoliv, the Eurajoki agreement forms part of its broader global climate strategy and supports its efforts to reduce the environmental impact of its operations.

Two-Site Design Incorporates Biodiversity Measures
The Eurajoki Solar Park consists of two separate sites, which operate as a single energy asset and are connected through a shared substation.
The two-site configuration enabled environmental protection measures to be tailored to the specific conditions of each location. At one site, the biodiversity plan includes habitat restoration and improvements to wetland edges, while a new pond has been developed at the other site to support the surrounding ecosystem.
€46 Million Senior Debt Secured for Project
The project was supported by €46 million in senior debt financing provided by ABN AMRO and SEB.
The inauguration ceremony brought together representatives from Alight and Autoliv, along with politicians, local stakeholders, grid partners, financiers and other project partners to mark the solar park’s entry into operation.
The commissioning of the Eurajoki Solar Park marks Alight’s first operational solar project in Finland and adds new utility-scale renewable generation to the country’s electricity system while supporting the expansion of corporate renewable energy procurement.
