Phillips will report to Artealia Gilliard, Chief Communications Officer at ACP, and will work closely with the association’s Events, Membership, and Communications leadership teams. Her responsibilities will include developing an integrated marketing strategy aimed at strengthening audience engagement, increasing awareness and event attendance, and supporting measurable revenue growth.

According to ACP, the appointment comes as its membership base and event portfolio continue to expand. Phillips will focus on strengthening the association’s marketing capabilities and building a more integrated approach to audience engagement across its key business priorities.

“Nedelka brings the strategic discipline and operational depth to turn that momentum into measurable growth and revenue,” said Gilliard. “She’ll be an important partner in advancing ACP’s marketing capabilities and impact.”

Phillips joins ACP from Promethean, where she served as Senior Director, Global Marketing. In that position, she led global marketing strategy and transformation across 20 international markets.

Prior to Promethean, Phillips served as Senior Vice President at the United Way of the National Capital Area, where she oversaw marketing, brand, communications, and fundraising strategy. She also held leadership positions at the American Red Cross, focusing on consumer marketing and fundraising operations.

At ACP, Phillips will oversee integrated marketing strategies for the association’s signature and regional events, including CLEANPOWER, RECHARGE, EmpowHER, and Clean Power in Color, along with emerging event properties.

Her mandate will also include expanding ACP’s audience communities and digital marketing ecosystem, using data and market insights to increase reach and engagement. The association said the strategy will focus on growing audiences, strengthening membership engagement, and increasing event and sponsorship revenue.

“ACP has an incredible opportunity to connect more people with the ideas, innovations, and communities shaping the future of clean energy,” said Phillips. “I’m excited to build a more integrated and measurable approach to marketing across our events, membership, and audiences.”

Phillips holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Maryland.
