Talesun, the China based major cell and module manufacturer, recently finished a distributed commercial & industrial rooftop PV project in Ho Chi Ming city, Vietnam. Unlike the usual practice in the past, Talesun participated this project not only as the role of a panel vendor, but also the role of an EPC.
This distributed C&I rooftop PV project is invested by a Vietnamese private company called HOANG NGUYEN Energy Joint Stock Company, and with power capacity of 570 KW. With utilizing 1,800 pieces of Talesun’s polycrystalline modules, Talesun finished the entire project within only 2 months and the filed installation last only 2 weeks.
The high efficiency in timeline was because Talesun concentrated an experienced project team in this project which bring with precise project planning, total quality control, adequate safety management and even proficient workers from China. The project quality was proved excellent and the project passed through Electricity of Vietnam inspection easily.
“We are very happy to start our first EPC project in Vietnam. Though the size is not big, we took it as our company priority. We have many experienced staffs know very well about the different components of a solar project such as PV panels, inverters, racks and trackers so we can help investors to balance the investment and output to get a best ROI.” Said by Zhiyong Liu, the manager of this project from Talesun.
Mr. Nguyen, owner of both HOANG NGUYEN Energy Joint Stock Company and this project also expressed his satisfaction:” the whole project is finished with high efficiency and very good quality. Both of the installation and yield is a paradigmatic project here in Vietnam. We also satisfied with the solar panels from Talesun. The 72 type module proved its economy and applicability in our country and I will be very pleased to introduce it to my friends who also want to have his own PV solar plant.”
Talesun is the one of the largest cell and solar panel manufacturer with production bases both in China and Thailand. In 2018, the company had over 3.2 GW module shipment around the world and ranked No.10 among major module makers, according to statistics of PV Infolink. Talesun said they will have total around 8 GW module capacity by end of 2019.
To better promote its own module products, Talesun sees downstream the bigger EPC market of PV solar, especially the distributed C&I projects. A functional department was established internally for the EPC business and Southeast Asia market including Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia is its first target. Meanwhile, aplenty capital partners from Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong provide sufficient funds and empower Talesun’s bidding ability financially.
Talesun aims a preliminary objective of 500 MW of distributed C&I rooftop solar projects in next three years which mainly in development plus EPC handover/turnkey model. The project of Ho Chi Ming city is a small one, however it may be a start to a bigger stage for Talesun.
