Sharp Energy Solutions Corporation (SESJ) has completed the construction of a mega solar power plant in Ninh Thuan Province, Vietnam.
SESJ jointly developed the project by collaborating with several other partners which include T&T Group, Joint Stock Company of Vietnam, and its affiliate Ninh Thuan Energy Industry (JSC).
The power output of this power plant is approximately 45 MW-dc. The estimated annual power generation is estimated to be about 76,373 MWh/year, which is equivalent to the annual power consumption of about 40,500 standard Vietnamese households.
The plant will begin operations in July, and SESJ expects it to offset nearly 25,458t of carbon emissions yearly.
SESJ has built 5 solar power plants in Vietnam (total output of about 245MW-dc). With the completion of this power plant, a total of approximately 290 MW-dc was obtained.
On June 19 HCM City Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks Authority (Hepza), Hepza Business Association (HBA), and Electricity of HCM City (EVN) launched a program in the zones to encourage businesses to participate and to meet the goal of 1,000 MWp.
Ho Chi Minh , a city in Vietnam, plans to have 1,000 MWp of solar rooftop power capacity installed by 2024 in its industrial parks, export processing zones, and high-tech parks from 700MWp now.
