The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has discontinued the benefit of concessional customs duty on items imported for setting up of solar power projects.
The Finance Minister announced a revoke of exemption of customs duties for all items of machinery, instruments, appliances, components, or auxiliary equipment for setting up of solar power generating projects.
