GSECL Floats Tender To Build 40 MW Solar Projects At Two GETCO Substations

Online bids have been invited for the engineering, design, construction, erection, supply, testing and commissioning of 40 MW of grid-connected solar power projects by Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) around Gujarat Energy Transmission Corporation (GETCO) substations at Munjal (10 MW) and Junachay (30 MW) in Gujarat’s Kutch district.

The tender is expected to cost Rs 1.6 billion, and GSECL is accepting proposals till April 6, 2022. On April 12th, bids will be opened.

As an earnest money deposit, interested bidders are required to yield a sum equal to Rs 16 million.

In order to participate in the bidding process, the applicantโ€™s total revenue over the past three fiscal years should be at least Rs 1.12 billion. Furthermore, the bidder’s net worth during the previous fiscal year should be positive.

Additionally, the bidder must have designed, erected,  supervised, supplied, and commissioned grid-connected power projects with a cumulative installed capacity of 20% or greater (in MW) of the total bid capacity, with at least one plant having a capacity of 5% or greater (in MW).

The minimum capacity reference project must have been in effective operation for at least 6 months previous to the bid opening date.

The selected bidder will also be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) operations for a period of five years and will be required to provide a sum equal to 5% of the contract work price within seven days along with the letter of intent’s acceptance.

GSECL has indicated that the lower limit of certified module efficiency for crystalline should be 15% with a baseline fill factor of 0.75.
