SJVN, a power producer, will invest more than Rs 1,000 crore in three renewable energy projects in Uttar Pradesh.

According to Nand Lal Sharma, the company’s CMD, two solar projects of 75 MW each would be built in Gurha and Parasan in district Jalaun.

A third 50 MW solar power plant will be built at Gujarai, Kanpur Dehat. He said that SJVN has invested around Rs 1,057 crore to Uttar Pradesh with these three solar power projects.

“SJVN was felicitated by the Uttar Pradesh government because it invested more than Rs 1000 crore in the state during 3rd Investor Meet Groundbreaking ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the event,” the company stated in a Friday statement.

Shimla-based SJVN is a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

Last week SJVN & Bihar State Power Holding Company Ltd. has signed 200 MW Solar PPA, along with its two DISCOMs-North Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (NBPDCL) and South Bihar Power Distribution Company Ltd. (SBPDCL).
