Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC), has opened the call for bids on an annuity basis for the design and engineering, supply construction and erection of 21 MW (2*10.5 MW), of solar power projects located in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch District.
September 8th, 2022 is the deadline for bid submissions and bids will be opened on 9th.
Two solar power plants will be set up by the BMC to produce power for captive use at different pumping stations in the Bhopal administrative region.
As an earnest money deposit, bidders will need to pay Rs 5,000,000. The successful bidder will also be responsible to operate and maintain the facility for the next 25-years. The successful bidder must submit two performance guarantees totaling Rs 10.5 millions each to secure the 10.5 MW capacity. The performance securities must be submitted within 30 days from the award. They must be valid for 36 months, with a three month claim period.
Both projects require AC power to be fed into the Rampura 132/33kV Madhya Pradesh Power Transmission Company, Jabalpur substation at 33 kV. The circuits used for each project are different. Developers would need to get approval from Madhya Pradesh Paschim Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company (MPPTCL) in order to gain connectivity.
BMC will make a payment to the selected bidder of Rs 140 million per project. The developer will pay the remaining costs of the project on an annuity basis, based on the 25-year average monthly electricity generated. The land for the project will be provided by BMC.
