How have the sales and business been for your esteemed company in 2022?

In 2021, Halead provided flexible reflective material production and technical support for photovoltaic projects in the Middle East, with a total installed capacity of 575MW.

In 2022, in close negotiation with many leading power energy companies and power investment companies in the Middle East, Europe, Southeast Asia, etc., the planned total installed capacity is more than 2.5GW.

Which are the pain points of Bifacial modules and how does your flexible reflective material address them?

The biggest feature of the Bifacial module is that the rear side can provide additional power generation gain. However, the reflectivity of the natural environment medium such as a desert (E.g Gobi desert)/bare soil is low (around 24-28%), resulting in insufficiently reflected irradiation on the rear side of the module and power generation efficiency cannot be maximized, and there is currently no mature and system solution for lifting rear side power generation in the industry.

The reflectivity of Halead flexible reflective material can reach as high as 83% under 280-1100nm wavelength range, which is close to the reflectivity of fresh snow in the natural environment. The material could bring more than 10% power generation gain with proven site-tested and simulated application; At the same time, under cloudy/hazy climate conditions, it can also provide gain for the rear side of PV Modules power generation.

In addition to the characteristics of high reflectivity, Halead flexible reflective material has a soft texture, strong physical strength (customizable) and easy installation with high performance. It is suitable for large-scale paving in flat or slightly undulating sandy environments. Threshold temperature of material is -30~70°C, which could meet with the temperature of day and night desert environments. In addition, the surface anti-UV nano coating not only improves the weather resistance of the material, but also has excellent self-cleaning ability, to achieve the highest level of anti-fouling/decontamination performance test to help with sand fixation and dust pollution reduction, which greatly reduces O M cleaning costs.

Which has been some of the major projects that have utilized your products in the Middle East region?

Halead ‘s photovoltaic project in the Middle East is the world’s first large-scale photovoltaic power generation project using flexible reflective materials on the ground to enhance the power generation efficiency of the rear side of PV Modules; it was laid and connected to the grid in Aug 2021 and has been running well so far. According to calculations, the power generation gain has proven to reach extra gains of 9 %~11%.

What are your growth plans for the next year? Which new projects are lined up?

While ensuring the implementation of new projects in 2022, we will continue to dig deeper into the market demand in the Middle East, gradually expand the scope of material applications, and continuously improve material performance and optimize installation solutions for different scenarios.
