Sembcorp Industries has exceeded 500 megawatt-peak of solar capacity in Singapore. Its gross solar capacity stood at 535MWp as on September 30.
This milestone is achieved after the group was awarded SolarNova7 by the Housing & Development Board and the Singapore Economic Development Board.
The SolarNova program is a joint effort by HDB as well as EDB to accelerate the deployment of solar photovoltaic systems in Singapore.
Sembcorp claims that its portfolio of rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating PV systems will contribute more than a third to the nation’s 2025 goal of the 1.5-gigawatt peak.
Since May 2021’s announcement of its strategic transformation, the group has more than doubled the number of renewables in its global operations.
