The firm focuses on Indonesian commercial and industrial buildings. It has mall owners, FMCG companies, textile producers, and pharmaceutical firms as clients among others.

Former Bain & Company consultant Rheza Adhihusada founded Suryanesia. To join the startup, he recruited Grant Adsit (an ex-Colliers International executive) and Nikesh Shamdasani (head of engineering at Sun Energy).

Suryanesia will use the new funding to hire additional staff for its marketing and operations divisions. Suryanesia is also interested in residential solar power, battery storage, and wind power.
