Jordan Identifies 63 Initiatives For Economic Modernisation Vision Including A Solar Energy Project At Queen Alia International Airport

The Executive Plan for the EMV, Economic Modernisation Vision for 2023-2025 has identified 63 initiatives to support high-value industries in agriculture, food security, and logistics services among others at a cost totaling JD245 million.

The initiatives of the industrial sector aim to improve Jordan’s global rankings, increase local industry’s competitiveness, initiate a policy for the promotion of “Made in Jordan” products, maximize the volume of national exports, and create a strategic database for developing manufacturing sectors.

It was also about sustainable development and environmentally-friendly projects, such as a Queen Alia International Airport powered with solar energy project, and encouraging regional connectivity in the transport sector.
