Iran’s Renewable Energy Power Capacity Reaches 1,020 MW

Iran’s renewable energy power plant volume reaches 1,020 MW with the 10 MW Pasargad Solar Farm in Damghan putting into operation, said Mahmoud Kamani, chief of Iran’s Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organizations (SATBA).

Kamani made comments about the offshoots to the instigation of the Damghan District solar farms in central Semnan. He stated that “this power plant has a unique feature because it can generate electricity through the reflection of the sunlight.” This makes it more efficient, meaning that it will be 40% more efficient.

The chief of SATBA stated that it was hoped that, by setting up more renewable power plants we will soon have the ability to implement the 10,000 MW program.

The Iranian Energy Ministry added that it plans to add 10,000 MW to the country’s total renewable power plants before the end of the current government’s direction.
