The contract, which is seven figures in value, will allow for the provision of solar power systems that can be used to light and protect areas within the plant’s potentially dangerous areas.

JCE’s scope includes the design, manufacturing, assembly, and supply of solar panels that provide lighting. Clients will see significant cost savings in the installation infrastructure due to the innovative design. In addition, they will have lower long-term operational costs. The client will be able to reduce their dependence on grid power and also lower carbon emissions through this investment.

The ATEX / IECEx units are approved for use in Zone 2 hazardous areas. They include a Photovoltaic Solar Panel and Solar Charge Controller Enclosure among others.

Martin Craig, JCE’s Managing Director, stated that “We are thrilled to have been selected, following a rigorous selection process as the preferred vendor providing an off-grid, high quality, reliable, and robust solar lighting solution.” After completing 104 systems, we are now moving on to the next phase. I want to thank our staff in Aberdeen & Plymouth for their hard work to make sure these vital systems are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
