NTPC Achieves Commercial Operation of Second Phase, Adding 10 MW to Gandhar Solar PV Project

NTPC, India’s leading power generation company, has announced the successful commissioning of the second part capacity of the Gandhar Solar PV Project in Gujarat. With this development, the 10 MW capacity of the 20 MW project is now officially declared on commercial operation, effective from 00:00 hours on June 7, 2023.

The first part capacity of 10 MW had already been declared on commercial operation since August 23, 2022. The Gandhar Solar PV Project, located in Gandhar, Gujarat, has contributed to the expansion of NTPC’s standalone and group installed and commercial capacity.

Following the addition of the second phase, NTPC’s standalone installed and commercial capacity will reach an impressive 56,378 MW. Moreover, the group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will surge to an impressive 72,364 MW.
