The Energy Commission (EC) conducted a competitive bidding exercise under the Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) to select PEKAT Teknologi for the development of a 29.99-megawatt solar power project.

In a significant step forward, the EC’s Letter of Notification officially confirmed PEKAT Teknologi’s successful selection for the project. The CGPP aims to promote sustainable energy practices through partnerships with solar power producers across the country.

PEKAT Teknologi’s selection places it among the twenty-two successful SPPs out of the total 800MWac capacity under the CGPP. As part of the next stage in the process, the chosen SPPs are required to apply for participation in the New Enhanced Dispatch Arrangement (NEDA) programme, which will further advance the development of the project.

The EC’s announcement emphasizes the importance of timely registration under the NEDA programme to ensure the progress of the solar power initiative.
