In a significant step towards bolstering sustainable economic development in Dubai, HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers. The meeting served to strengthen the collaborative efforts of DEWA and Dubai Chambers in achieving their shared goals of sustainable economic development and further establishing Dubai as a global financial hub.

HE Saeed Al Tayer emphasized DEWA’s commitment to enhancing its strategic partnerships with various government entities, aligning with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The goal is to foster collaboration and seamless integration among all government entities in the UAE.

Furthermore, HE Al Tayer underlined DEWA’s full support for the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, a blueprint for the city’s future that aims to attract foreign investments in new sectors and stimulate economic activity. DEWA’s expertise in sustainable development and digital transformation will play a pivotal role in realizing the objectives outlined in the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer also highlighted DEWA’s successful Independent Power and Water Producer (IPWP) model, which encourages foreign investments and has attracted AED 40 billion in investments. This model has significantly contributed to Dubai’s sustainable energy and water supply.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah expressed gratitude for DEWA’s role in providing advanced and sustainable infrastructure that aligns with the needs of Dubai’s dynamic business community. He emphasized that Dubai Chambers’ ongoing collaboration with DEWA enhances the business environment and attracts foreign direct investment, aligning with Dubai’s economic agenda and strategic priorities.

Lootah reiterated Dubai Chambers’ commitment to working in partnership with all government entities to realize the vision of the wise leadership.
