Leading inverter manufacturer, Solis, is proud to announce the successful VDE4130 certification of its groundbreaking Solis (215-255)K inverters. Following upgrades to meet higher voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC) and grid code requirements, Solis enlisted the support of TÜV Rheinland to conduct rigorous testing on the inverter, confirming it met the standards of VDE4130 – the highest level of technical certification in Germany, essential for installing and operating hardware on extra-high voltage networks.

Solis attained VDE4110 and VDE4120 certifications in 2023, so it can now provide the inverter as a solution for projects of all sizes across Germany – one of the few inverter manufacturers able to offer this.

Designed to maximize PV power plant yields, Solis (215–255)K inverters support the new era of high-performance solar panels such as bifacial. Marking a significant leap in grid adaptability for large-scale solar projects, the technology can support voltages above 220kV, all while reducing the Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) compared to central inverters. The solution offers a highly efficient and cost-effective alternative for utility-scale projects in Europe.

Key Features of Solis (215-255)K Inverters:
• 99% maximum efficiency with an anti-PID function for improved efficiency and yield.
• Fuse-less design and IP66 protection ensure safety and maintenance-free operation.
• Up to 14 MPPTs and 28 string input capabilities.
• Easy installation and optional remote upgrades.
• High-precision IV curve.
• SVG function supported, addressing weak grids and reducing investment in reactive power compensation equipment.

Gregory Lukens, Utility Director for Europe at Solis, commented on the achievement, “We’re thrilled to announce the TÜV Rheinland certification for our EHV-5G inverter. It’s a great honour to be the first Asian company to receive this level of recognition. This inverter’s robust design makes it ideal for operation in the challenging environments often encountered in utility-scale projects throughout Europe, and plants with central inverters that need replacing now have the option to switch to a lower-cost, high-powered string inverter. This recent recognition not only affirms the unmatched quality and reliability of our products, but it’s also a reflection of our relentless pursuit of excellence in providing practical solutions to meet the world’s clean energy needs.”
