Renewable Power Corporation of Kerala Ltd (RPCKL) has released a tender inviting bids for the selection of a Project Management Unit (PMU) to assist in the implementation of a 100MW solar plant in Cheemeni, Kasaragod, Kerala. The deadline for submission of bids is February 29, 2024 with bid opening scheduled for March 5. This tender presents an opportunity for interested bidders to acquire comprehensive details and download the necessary documents for participating in the procurement process. It pertains to solar power plant projects in Kasaragod, Kerala.

The document fees for this tender are set at INR 5900, while the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) required is INR 270,000.

Renewable Power Corporation of Kerala (RPCKL) is a joint initiative between the Kerala State Electricity Board and the Solar Energy Corporation of India. The Project Management Unit (PMU) will play a pivotal role in overseeing various aspects of the project, including monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, preparing tender documents, and ensuring adherence to timelines. Led by a team leader, the PMU will consist of five members who will coordinate activities, conduct stakeholder briefings, and participate in high-level meetings.

Additionally, the PMU will have the authority to manage project personnel, implement key performance indicators, establish milestone tracking systems, and supervise infrastructure development such as transmission lines, substations, roads, and community facilities.

Moreover, the PMU will be responsible for risk management, monitoring budgets, implementing quality control measures, establishing documentation systems, providing regular progress reports, engaging stakeholders, assisting in obtaining environmental clearances, exploring data collection tools, advising on skill development, ensuring project integration, and overseeing project closure and reporting processes.

Overall, the PMU will serve as a central hub for project oversight, ensuring efficient execution, stakeholder satisfaction, and successful completion of the 100MW solar plant project in Cheemeni, Kasaragod, Kerala.
