Sky Community Solar, headquartered in San Antonio, highlighted the standardized and modular design of Earth Mount Solar as a key factor in selecting Erthos. The simplicity and uniformity of Earth Mount Solar were cited as advantageous, facilitating the master agreement process. The system’s high energy density and minimal vertical profile were noted to optimize land usage, minimize visual impact, and streamline community approval processes.

Dudy Levy, Partner at Sky Community Solar, emphasized the unprecedented ease of a master agreement due to the consistent design of Earth Mount Solar. Unlike traditional tracker systems, which present site-specific challenges, Earth Mount Solar offers a uniform solution across all sites.

Earth Mount Solar represents a groundbreaking innovation in large-scale solar plant design, featuring PV modules positioned flat on the ground, eliminating the need for driven piles and steel tracking structures. This approach significantly reduces installation time, materials, and operational complexities, ultimately resulting in the lowest levelized cost of energy and enhanced project returns for developers.

Charles Pimentel, President of Erthos, underscored the company’s commitment to harmonizing solar projects with local communities and landscapes. Recognizing the importance of community engagement, Pimentel emphasized the need for clean energy initiatives to align with community values and priorities.

Construction on the first project is slated to commence later this year, with the entire portfolio expected to achieve commercial operation by the end of 2026.

Sky Community Solar expressed enthusiasm for partnering with Erthos, citing the cost-effectiveness and unobtrusiveness of their solar systems, which require minimal compromise from communities embracing clean energy initiatives.
