In a significant development towards bolstering renewable energy infrastructure in India, SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a fully owned subsidiary of the state-run SJVN Limited, has issued an open invitation for bids for the establishment of a 100 MW (AC) solar power project. The project, earmarked for Nawa, Didwana Kuchaman in Rajasthan, is a major step forward in the region’s commitment to sustainable energy sources. Scheduled for completion with an inclusive three-year comprehensive operation and maintenance plan, this initiative represents a significant leap in India’s solar energy capabilities.

The tendering process is organized through a Single Stage Two Envelope system, comprising a Techno-Commercial Bid and a Price Bid, supplemented by a Reverse Auction mechanism. This meticulous procedure ensures a transparent and competitive selection of the project’s executor, emphasizing the importance of technical expertise and financial viability.

Set to be located in the vibrant state of Rajasthan, the project demands an intricate scope of work ranging from land development to the integration with the Power Evacuation System managed by the State Electricity Authorities. The contract covers extensive responsibilities including design, engineering, procurement, and installation, alongside the crucial post-commissioning operation and maintenance of the solar plant. The prospective contractors are required to leverage solar modules sanctioned by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), underscoring the project’s alignment with national quality standards.

The deadline for bid submission is set for April 26, 2024, with the techno-commercial bid opening scheduled on the same day, marking a pivotal moment for renewable energy advancement in Rajasthan and India at large.
