Envision Energy and Hero Future Energies Forge Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Renewable Energy Deployment in India

Envision Energy, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, and Hero Future Energies, a prominent Renewable Energy IPP, have signed a framework agreement aimed at advancing various aspects of the Renewable Energy sector in India. The collaboration includes provisions for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) supply and other technologies such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Green Hydrogen.

Under the framework agreement, Envision Energy will supply 588 MW of WTGs, comprising 178 units of its EN 156-3.3 MW Wind Turbine Generators, which are expected to generate 2,200 GWh units of clean energy annually. This significant contribution is poised to expedite India’s progress towards achieving its net-zero emissions goals.

Envision Energy’s commitment to the Indian market is reflected in its establishment of manufacturing facilities for nacelles, hubs, and blades, as well as a remote-control center for wind projects across the country. This move has created over 2,000 jobs, both directly and indirectly, contributing to India’s economic growth.

Mr. Srivatsan Iyer, Global CEO of Hero Future Energies, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, emphasizing its role in mitigating supply chain disruptions and ensuring price stability. He underscored their joint efforts to accelerate the adoption of wind energy and other decarbonization initiatives, aligning with their commitment to a cleaner and sustainable future.

Mr. RPV Prasad, Managing Director of Envision Energy India, highlighted the strategic significance of the partnership in leveraging India’s potential in wind-rich states. He emphasized Envision’s commitment to India’s self-reliant vision, citing local assembly and manufacturing efforts aimed at supporting the country’s renewable energy objectives.

Mr. Kane Xu, Global Vice President of Envision Energy and Chairman of Envision Energy India, emphasized the partnership’s role in advancing the green energy transition and addressing climate challenges. He expressed confidence in expanding the collaboration to include solutions in BESS and Green Hydrogen, positioning them as a preferred partner in the journey towards net-zero emissions.
