Ministry of Railways Seeks Bids for Rooftop Solar PV Systems in Palakkad Division

The Ministry of Railways is inviting bids for the implementation of Rooftop Solar PV Systems of various capacities at different locations within Palakkad Division, Southern Railway. The total capacity of these systems amounts to 300 kWp.

 The primary objective is to generate and supply energy to railway installations through the RESCO mode.

The scope of work encompasses designing, manufacturing, supplying, installing, commissioning, operating, and maintaining various roof-mounted Solar PV power packs totalling a capacity of 300kWP at different locations within Palakkad Division for a duration of 25 years.

The last date to submit the bids is June 4, 2024.

The advertised value of the project is Rs, 4.27 crore, with period of completion 240 days.

Bidders must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of Rs 3.63 lakhs.

Bidders must have prior experience with successful installations of a minimum aggregate capacity of 200 KW in grid-connected Solar Rooftop systems or ground-mounted solar systems, either in Developer or EPC mode, before the scheduled submission date of the Technical Bid. Or,

 Bidders with a track record of successfully installing and commissioning a minimum aggregate capacity of 1000 kW in any Grid-connected systems, whether in Developer or EPC mode across various sectors such as residential, social, industrial, commercial, government, or others, prior to the scheduled submission date of the Technical Bid, are eligible.

The interested bidder must demonstrate an average turnover of Rs. 1.5 crore per year over the last three financial years. Additionally, the bidder must have maintained a positive net worth in each of the last three financial years. Furthermore, for bidder eligibility, the criteria of the parent company will be considered if the parent company holds a minimum of 26% share in the bidding company.
