Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata Announces Tender for 2 MW Solar PV Power Plant at Haldia Dock Complex

Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata has released a tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 2 MW (AC) solar photovoltaic grid-interactive power plant at the Haldia Dock Complex. This project will be carried out under the EPC mode, including comprehensive operation and maintenance for ten years.

The tender has an estimated value of โ‚น16,81,77,715. Interested bidders must ensure their bid validity for 180 days and complete the project within 420 days. The bid submission deadline is set for July 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM, with the opening of bids scheduled for July 31, 2024, at 3:30 PM.

An earnest money deposit (EMD) of โ‚น26,81,777 is required from intending bidders, payable to the Haldia Dock Complex. Additionally, the successful bidder must provide a security deposit or performance guarantee amounting to 10% of the contract value (excluding GST), which will be held until the project’s completion and throughout the defect liability period (DLP) or comprehensive operation and maintenance contract (COMC) period of 120 months.

The solar power plant has an estimated operational life of 25 years. Key performance metrics include a minimum performance ratio (PR) of 0.75 and a minimum guaranteed net generation of 28,00,000 kWh per annum, with a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 16.00%.

This project represents a significant step towards sustainable energy at the Haldia Dock Complex, aligning with broader renewable energy goals and enhancing the port’s energy efficiency and sustainability.
