ECOWAS Centre For Renewable Energy And Energy Efficiency Inaugurates Solarization Projects At Three Ghanaian Hospitals

The ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (ECREEE) has proudly inaugurated solarization projects at three hospitals in Ghana: Finney Hospital (61KWp system), Barnor Memorial Hospital (21KWp system), and Mother-Love Hospital (30KWp system).

Developed in partnership with Tradeworks Limited, a local solar energy company, these projects received technical support and co-funding from ECREEE through the ECOWAS Special Intervention Fund (ESIF). The solar systems will provide an uninterrupted power supply to the hospitals, significantly enhancing healthcare services in their communities.

The inauguration ceremony at Finney Hospital featured notable attendees including Mr Seth Mahu, Director for Renewable Energy, representing the Honourable Minister of Energy of Ghana; Mr Kofi Agyarko, Director for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency at the Energy Commission of Ghana, representing the Executive Secretary; Mr Jean Francis Sempore, Executive Director of ECREEE; Dr. Allen Steele-Dadzie, Chief Medical Director of Finney Hospital; and Mr Randy Sey, CEO of Tradeworks Limited.

These projects mark a significant advancement in healthcare services, ensuring that medical facilities can operate efficiently without power interruptions.
