SECI Invites Bids For 12 MW Solar Power Project In Ladakh

The Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) issued tender for the design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, commissioning, and operation and maintenance (O&M) for five years of a 12 MW (AC) Solar PV Power Plant System. The location of this project is Phey, Leh, in the Union Territory of Ladakh, India. SECI, operating under the Companies Act of 2013, has its registered office at NBCC Office Block Tower-2, East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi. In this project, SECI is referred to as the ‘Employer,’ and the Ladakh Power Development Department (LPDD) is referred to as the ‘Owner.’

The bid submission deadline for this tender is August 16, 2024. Contractors interested in this project must submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of ₹1,78,00,000. Additionally, the contractor must provide a Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG) equivalent to 5% of the contract value. The project completion period is set at 24 months from the date of signing the contract agreement.

SECI, on behalf of LPDD, invites bids from eligible contractors for the complete execution of this solar power plant project. This includes comprehensive operation and maintenance of the plant for five years after successful commissioning and performance demonstration. The scope of work is detailed in the technical specifications and includes the supply and storage of all mandatory spare parts, consumables, and any necessary repairs or replacement of defective equipment.

The tender covers all aspects of the solar power plant project, ensuring that the selected contractor will be responsible for every phase, from initial design to long-term maintenance. The successful contractor will need to demonstrate the plant’s performance and manage its operation for five years, ensuring it runs efficiently and reliably.
