Air Products and Tatung Forever Energy Sign Solar Power Purchase Agreement in Taiwan

Air Products (NYSE: APD), a leading global industrial gases company, announced today that its subsidiary, Air Products San Fu Co. Ltd., has entered into a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tatung Forever Energy, a subsidiary of Tatung Company, a prominent Taiwanese conglomerate. This agreement highlights Air Products’ commitment to climate change mitigation and the sustainable development of Taiwan’s industrial gases sector.

Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2024, the PPA will enable Air Products San Fu to source a portion of its energy needs for industrial gases production from renewable solar electricity. This transition to solar power is expected to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by an amount equivalent to the electricity-related emissions of over 80,000 households in Taiwan throughout the duration of the agreement.

Air Products San Fu is the first industrial gases company in Taiwan to achieve ISO9002, ISO14000, and ISO17034 certifications.
