Uttar Gujarat Vij Company Limited (UGVCL) achieved a significant milestone with the commissioning of a 2.475 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Plant in Sudasana, Gujarat. This development is a crucial step in the implementation of the PM KUSUM Component-C Feeder Level Solarization Scheme, which aims to provide reliable daytime electricity to the agricultural sector.
The new plant adds to UGVCL’s growing solar portfolio, bringing the total capacity to 8.430 MW with four plants now commissioned across Gujarat. This initiative highlights UGVCL’s commitment to enhancing the state’s renewable energy infrastructure and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
As part of India’s larger push towards green energy, this solar installation is expected to further boost efforts toward solarizing the agricultural sector, ensuring a more reliable and sustainable power supply for farmers in the region.
