CCI Approves JSW Neo Energy’s Acquisition Of O2 Power Companies

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the proposed acquisition of O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte. Ltd. and O2 Energy SG Pte. Ltd. by JSW Neo Energy Limited. As part of this transaction, JSW Neo Energy Limited will acquire 100% shareholding in both O2 Power Midco Holdings and O2 Energy SG.

JSW Neo Energy Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy Limited, which is part of the JSW Group. JSW Energy Limited, through its subsidiaries, operates in power generation and transmission using both conventional and non-conventional energy sources.

The two target companies in this deal, O2 Power Midco Holdings Pte. Ltd. and O2 Energy SG Pte. Ltd., are engaged in renewable energy generation. Through their subsidiaries, they focus on generating power from renewable sources like wind and solar energy.

This acquisition is expected to strengthen JSW Neo Energy Limited’s renewable energy portfolio and contribute to its clean energy goals. The CCI’s approval marks an important step in completing the transaction.
