Hartek Group, a prominent player in Indiaโs power and renewable energy sector, has been ranked among the Top 3 Large-Scale Solar EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) companies for the calendar year 2024 by Mercom India, a reputed research and consultancy firm. Additionally, the company has also secured a place among the Top 10 Rooftop Solar EPC companies for the same period, as highlighted in Mercom Indiaโs latest Market Leaderboard report.
This recognition comes as Hartek continues to expand its solar EPC land-based business unit, having already connected over 10 gigawatts (GW) of solar power to the grid. The achievement underscores Hartekโs contribution to Indiaโs renewable energy goals and its role in building a sustainable and energy-secure future. Notably, this is the third consecutive year that the company has featured on Mercomโs leaderboard, reflecting its steady performance, operational excellence, and ongoing commitment to the countryโs energy transition.
Hartek Group operates through three major verticals: Power Systems, Renewables, and Power Distribution Products. The Power Systems division is responsible for delivering turnkey substations and grid infrastructure up to 765 kilovolts (kV), helping to strengthen Indiaโs transmission network. The Renewables division executes both rooftop and large-scale solar projects across different regions, supporting the adoption of clean energy. Meanwhile, the Power Distribution Products division focuses on manufacturing advanced electrical equipment, including compact substations and control and relay panels, which facilitate reliable power distribution up to 33 kV.
Simarpreet Singh, Executive Director & CEO, Hartek Group, stated, โThis recognition from Mercom India is a proud moment for all of us at Hartek. It validates our consistent efforts and innovative approach in delivering reliable solar EPC solutions. As we continue to scale, our focus remains on empowering Indiaโs energy landscape through clean and efficient power infrastructure.โ
Further demonstrating its capabilities, Hartek Group recently secured a significant project worth โน117 crore from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. The project involves extension work for a 765 kV Air Insulated Substation (AIS) and a 400/220 kV substation in Gujarat. This new order adds to the companyโs growing portfolio of high-voltage infrastructure projects, reinforcing its expertise in both conventional and renewable energy segments.
