TÜV Rheinland Strengthens Ties With India To Support Global Quality And Skills Development

TÜV Rheinland, a global leader in independent testing and certification services, has reaffirmed its long-term commitment to India’s industrial and workforce transformation with a significant visit by its Group CEO, Dr.-Ing Michael Fübi. The highlight of his visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between TÜV Rheinland India and Generation India Foundation (GIF), a global non-profit organization focused on workforce development. The MoU, signed in the presence of Dr. Fübi and Generation India CEO Arunesh Kumar Singh, reflects a shared vision to address India’s critical skills gap and equip youth for employment in high-demand sectors.

The strategic collaboration between TÜV Rheinland India and Generation India Foundation will leverage the Generation Methodology, an outcome-based, proven training model to design and implement high-quality skilling programs at selected locations across India. The partnership will work in coordination with central and state governments, as well as industry bodies, to develop programs for job roles such as Solar PV Installer, aiming to create meaningful career opportunities for young people and support India’s transition to a greener economy.

Dr. Fübi, said in a statement, “India is not just a growing market for us – it is also a strategic destination in shaping the future of global quality, sustainability and skills development. This MoU reflects our commitment to empower Indian talent with skills and certifications aligned with the emerging demands and sustainability goals of a globally growing industry. Through this collaboration, we aim to create pathways for Indian professionals to excel on a global platform.”

Dr.Füb also added, “India has emerged as an important growth hub for TÜV Rheinland thanks to the strength of its domestic market and its growing importance in the global quality ecosystem. As the world faces complex challenges in sustainability, technology and global mobility, we see India as a leading contributor to the next generation of global quality and innovation.”

Dr. Fübi also participated in the TIC Council Summit held in New Delhi during his visit. As Chairman of the TIC Council, the international association representing independent testing, inspection, and certification companies, he is playing a leading role in efforts to harmonize global standards for quality, safety, and compliance. India, he noted, is central to these global conversations as it continues to grow in industrial capability and regulatory influence.
