India and Germany Hold Talks to Strengthen Renewable Energy Cooperation

A high-level German delegation led by Christine Toetzke, Director General for Asia, Latin America, the Middle East, and Eastern/South-Eastern Europe at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), met with Shri Santosh Sarangi, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), in New Delhi today.

The meeting, held at Atal Akshay Urja Bhawan, focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the renewable energy sector. Both sides reviewed progress under the India-Germany Platform for Investment in Renewable Energies Worldwide and discussed potential areas for expanded collaboration.

According to officials, the engagement reflects the growing strategic partnership between the two nations as they work toward accelerating global clean energy deployment and supporting climate transition efforts.
