Aggreko, a global provider of engineered energy and temperature-control solutions, has completed solar installations at two additional U.S. service centers as part of its ongoing effort to expand the use of low-carbon, reliable power across its operations. The company has installed a 100 kW solar system at its service center in St. Louis, Missouri, and an 87.3 kW system at its Bridgeport, New Jersey location.
These new installations will significantly reduce the amount of electricity each site draws from the grid, along with their annual carbon emissions. In St. Louis, the solar panels are expected to meet around 40% of the facility’s yearly electricity demand and cut approximately 96 tons of carbon emissions annually. At the Bridgeport service center, the solar array will provide about 64% of the site’s power needs while offsetting nearly 88 tons of CO₂ emissions each year.
Todd Aston, Vice President of ESG at Aggreko, said the company is committed to expanding distributed solar across its network of service centers. He noted that replacing grid electricity with on-site renewable energy at the St. Louis and Bridgeport locations demonstrates Aggreko’s commitment to supporting customers and communities through its Energizing Change sustainability framework. He added that the company plans to continue rolling out solar systems at more service centers in 2026, aligning with the low-emission goals many customers now prioritize.
These latest installations build on Aggreko’s broader sustainability strategy in the United States. Under the Energizing Change initiative, the company aims to reduce emissions across its operations, with distributed renewable power playing a central role in meeting the electricity needs of its service centers. Last year, Aggreko installed a rooftop solar system at its New Orleans service center, where the array now supplies more than 92% of the facility’s power. The company plans to continue advancing similar solar projects at multiple service centers throughout 2026.
