WattPower, a prominent provider of renewable energy solutions, in collaboration with SNS Corporation, hosted a seminar titled “Inverter Selection, System Design & Financial Viability” in Jodhpur. The session brought together EPC contractors, solar developers, banking representatives, and insurance professionals to discuss key considerations for the effective implementation of projects under the Government of India’s PM-KUSUM scheme.

While PM-KUSUM has created strong policy momentum for decentralised solar deployment, stakeholders on the ground continue to face challenges in system design alignment, grid compliance, financing structures, and risk assessment. The seminar was designed to clarify these areas and encourage better coordination across the project ecosystem.

The session featured presentations by the WattPower team on inverter selection, plant configuration, and regulatory compliance requirements, with a focus on ensuring technical preparedness from the outset. Discussions also covered reactive power management and adherence to grid norms;  factors that increasingly influence project approvals and operational stability.

An interactive dialogue with representatives from the banking and insurance sectors followed, focusing on documentation processes, lender expectations, and long-term asset protection. Participants engaged in an open exchange on reducing execution delays and improving overall project viability.

Speaking at the seminar, Pavit Gandhi, EVP Sales at Wattpower,  said, “PM-KUSUM has immense potential, but there is often a gap between the policy framework and on-ground execution. Many projects face delays not due to lack of intent, but due to limited awareness around technical compliance and financing expectations. Through such seminars, we aim to bridge these gaps by creating a shared understanding among developers, financiers, and solution providers.”

The seminar concluded with a Q&A session followed by networking interactions. Through this initiative, WattPower and SNS Corporation reinforced the importance of collaborative knowledge platforms in supporting smoother and more sustainable implementation of PM-KUSUM projects.
