Solidus Techno Power Private Limited has commissioned Punjab’s largest captive open access solar project with a capacity of 40 MW / 60 MWp in Fazilka, developed for Aarti International Ltd and Aarti Steel International Limited.

The project is expected to generate approximately 85 million units of clean energy annually and reduce over 80,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, supporting industrial decarbonisation and sustainable energy adoption in the region.

With this commissioning, Solidus Techno Power has reached a cumulative installed solar capacity of 200 MW across North India, reinforcing its position in delivering large-scale renewable energy solutions for industrial consumers.

Company officials stated that the project marks a significant step in enabling industries to transition towards cost-efficient and sustainable energy under the captive open access model, while contributing to India’s broader clean energy goals.

The development highlights the growing adoption of captive solar solutions among industrial players seeking energy security, cost optimisation, and reduced carbon footprint.
