Constant Energy, a renewable energy developer operating across Southeast Asia, has officially inaugurated a 5.26 MW solar rooftop installation at the manufacturing facilities of Meyer Industries Limited and Meyer Aluminium (Thailand) Company Limited in Laem Chabang, Thailand. The project represents a significant step toward reducing industrial carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency within Thailandโs manufacturing sector.
Meyer Industries is recognized as one of the worldโs largest producers of high-quality cookware, while Meyer Aluminium operates as a leading aluminium rolling mill. The project was also supported by Myrex (Thailand) Limited, an affiliate of Meyer Industries that serves as the companyโs sales and marketing arm in Thailand.
The newly commissioned solar rooftop system is expected to generate substantial environmental and economic benefits. According to the companies, the installation will help reduce carbon emissions by approximately 3,200 tonnes annually. In addition, it is projected to deliver energy cost savings of around THB 360 million over the duration of the contract, helping the companies lower operating expenses while supporting their sustainability objectives.
The project was developed and implemented under strict technical and quality standards. It also underwent an audit by a Japanese government team to verify compliance and performance requirements, highlighting the project’s reliability and reinforcing Constant Energyโs reputation as a provider of high-performance renewable energy solutions for large-scale industrial operations.
The inauguration ceremony brought together senior representatives from Constant Energy, Meyer Industries, Myrex (Thailand), and Meyer Aluminium. Attendees included Franck Constant, CEO and Founder of Constant Energy; Joseph Lo, General Manager and Director of Meyer Industries and Myrex (Thailand); and James Cheng, President of Meyer Aluminium (Thailand).
The event was also attended by Teeradech Areeprayoonkit, Assistant Director of the Laem Chabang Industrial Estate Office at the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT). During the ceremony, he emphasized the importance of collaboration between industrial companies and renewable energy providers in supporting Thailandโs transition toward cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
Franck Constant stated that the project demonstrates the results that can be achieved when organizations work together with a shared commitment to sustainability and long-term value creation. He noted that partnerships between industrial operators and renewable energy providers play an increasingly important role in accelerating the adoption of clean energy solutions across the region.
Joseph Lo highlighted that the solar rooftop installation aligns with Meyer Industriesโ long-term strategy of promoting sustainable manufacturing practices and responsible business operations. He described the project as an important step in reducing the environmental footprint of the companyโs operations while supporting broader corporate sustainability goals.
James Cheng added that the partnership with Constant Energy represents a significant milestone in Meyer Aluminiumโs efforts to reduce its environmental impact while improving operational efficiency. He noted that the company views the collaboration as an opportunity to create lasting value not only for the business but also for the surrounding communities through more sustainable industrial practices. One of the key advantages of the project is its financing structure.
The solar rooftop system was delivered without any upfront investment from Meyer Industries, allowing the company to benefit from renewable energy generation without significant capital expenditure. Under the agreement, the installation is expected to provide free electricity for more than 140 days each year, while also lowering energy costs during the remainder of the contract period.
This model reflects Constant Energyโs broader approach to supporting industrial customers by removing financial barriers to renewable energy adoption. The company has already implemented similar projects across several industrial estates managed by the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, helping manufacturers reduce energy costs and carbon emissions while maintaining operational reliability.
The successful completion of the solar rooftop installation marks the beginning of a wider strategic partnership between Constant Energy and Meyer. Building on the results of the current project, both companies are exploring additional opportunities to improve energy efficiency, optimize system performance, and expand sustainability initiatives across Meyerโs operations.
The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to reducing environmental impact, enhancing energy resilience, and supporting the transition to cleaner industrial energy solutions in Thailand.
