Roofsol Secures ₹2.6 Billion Investment from Aseem Infra to Scale Distributed Solar Projects and Drive C&I Growth

Roofsol Energy has secured ₹2.6 billion in funding from Aseem Infrastructure Finance Limited (AIFL) to support the expansion of its commercial and industrial (C&I) solar portfolio across India.

The funding will be utilized to refinance existing projects and accelerate the development of approximately 100 MW of additional solar capacity, strengthening the company’s presence in the rapidly growing C&I renewable energy segment.

According to the company, the capital infusion will support ongoing projects, including installations for industrial customers such as JK Tyre & Industries, while enhancing Roofsol’s ability to meet increasing demand for clean energy solutions among commercial and industrial consumers.

Founded in 2015, Roofsol Energy has developed more than 400 MW of solar capacity across over 250 projects nationwide. The company focuses on delivering rooftop and ground-mounted solar solutions to businesses seeking to reduce energy costs and meet sustainability targets.

The latest funding follows a previous financing transaction between the two companies in 2025, when Aseem Infrastructure Finance extended ₹2.1 billion to support Roofsol’s renewable energy projects. The continued financial backing reflects growing investor confidence in India’s distributed renewable energy market and the long-term growth potential of the C&I solar sector.

The investment comes amid increasing adoption of renewable energy by industrial and commercial consumers, driven by rising electricity costs, decarbonization goals, and the need for reliable power supply. The C&I solar segment has emerged as a key growth area within India’s renewable energy industry, attracting significant interest from developers, investors, and lenders alike.

With the fresh capital, Roofsol aims to strengthen its project pipeline and expand its clean energy footprint, supporting the country’s broader transition toward sustainable and low-carbon energy infrastructure.
