Solarium Green Energy Limited has secured a Letter of Award (LoA) for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a 65 MW DC solar photovoltaic project in Maharashtra, strengthening its presence in India’s utility-scale renewable energy sector.
The contract, valued at approximately ₹186.53 crore excluding GST, pertains to a 50 MW AC/65 MW DC solar power project associated with Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MAHAGENCO). Solarium Green will execute the project as a subcontractor under a turnkey arrangement.
Under the scope of work, the company will undertake the complete design, engineering, procurement, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar plant. The contract also includes operations and maintenance (O&M) services for a period of 36 months following project commissioning.
The project represents a significant addition to Solarium Green’s order book and marks a strategic step in the company’s expansion into larger utility-scale solar developments. The contract is expected to provide revenue visibility over the execution period while strengthening the company’s credentials in the competitive solar EPC market.
Maharashtra continues to emerge as a key market for renewable energy deployment, driven by increasing power demand and state-level clean energy targets. The latest project aligns with broader efforts to accelerate solar capacity additions and support India’s long-term energy transition objectives.
Industry observers note that the project’s design, featuring a 65 MW DC capacity against a 50 MW AC output, reflects the growing adoption of optimized DC-to-AC ratios in utility-scale solar projects to maximize energy generation and improve overall plant performance.
The award further reinforces Solarium Green’s position as an emerging EPC player in India’s renewable energy sector and is expected to enhance its prospects for securing additional large-scale solar infrastructure
