Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the successful operationalization of a new 150 MW solar power project at Khavda in Gujarat. The announcement was made through a regulatory filing submitted to both the BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India.
The solar project has been developed by Adani Renewable Energy Eight Limited (ARE8L), a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary of AGEL. According to the company, all required regulatory approvals were received before the project was declared operational. The decision to commission the plant was finalized at 10:42 p.m. on June 27, 2026, while commercial power generation from the project started on June 28, 2026.
With the commissioning of this new solar plant, Adani Green Energy has further strengthened its renewable energy portfolio. The company’s total operational renewable energy generation capacity has now reached 19,985.8 MW. In addition, its operational Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) capacity has increased to 3,366 MWh.
The company informed the stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The filing ensures that investors and stakeholders receive timely information about important business developments.
The regulatory communication was signed and submitted by Pragnesh Darji, Company Secretary of Adani Green Energy Limited, from the company’s corporate headquarters in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The latest commissioning reflects AGEL’s continued focus on expanding its renewable energy business and supporting India’s clean energy transition. The addition of the 150 MW solar project also brings the company very close to achieving a major milestone of 20,000 MW of operational renewable energy capacity. The development highlights AGEL’s ongoing investment in large-scale solar projects and reinforces its position as one of India’s leading renewable energy companies.
