ACME Solar Holdings Limited has commissioned a 240.720 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan, further expanding its energy storage portfolio and strengthening its presence in India’s emerging battery storage sector.
The project has been commissioned through the company’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, at Sanwara and Mehar Nagar villages in Pokhran, Jaisalmer district. The facility was commissioned on June 30, 2026, with its commercial operation date (COD) scheduled for July 2, 2026.
Following the latest commissioning, ACME Suryodaya Private Limited has increased its total commissioned battery energy storage capacity to 285 MW / 842.624 MWh, reinforcing the company’s position in supporting grid reliability and renewable energy integration.
The update was disclosed by ACME Solar Holdings in a regulatory filing to the BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The commissioning marks another milestone in ACME Solar’s strategy to expand its utility-scale energy storage infrastructure, supporting India’s growing need for flexible storage solutions that enhance grid stability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy into the national power system.
