Uniper Signs Six-Year PPAs with Respect Energy for 219 MWp of Solar Capacity in Poland

Uniper has signed six-year Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Respect Energy for the supply of renewable electricity and Guarantees of Origin (GoO) from four new photovoltaic (PV) projects in Poland with a combined installed capacity of 219 MWp.

The agreements cover electricity generated from the Pakość, Kłodawa, Domanowo, and Krotoszyce solar projects and represent a significant step in both companies’ efforts to support Poland’s energy transition and accelerate the deployment of renewable energy across Europe.

The four PV projects are part of Uniper’s broader renewable energy expansion strategy following its investment decision in December 2025 to develop an additional five solar projects across Poland and the United Kingdom, with a combined capacity of approximately 288 MWp.

Under the long-term agreements, Respect Energy will purchase renewable electricity and the associated Guarantees of Origin generated by the four solar facilities. The company said the contracts will strengthen its renewable energy supply portfolio and reinforce its position as a leading clean electricity trader in Central and Eastern Europe.

The companies noted that the agreements highlight the growing role of corporate PPAs in supporting renewable energy deployment by providing long-term revenue certainty for project developers while securing reliable supplies of green electricity for energy buyers.

Commenting on the agreement, Iulia Tica said the partnership aligns with Uniper’s transformation strategy and will expand its renewable energy footprint across Europe. She added that the projects will contribute to decarbonising Poland’s power system while strengthening the company’s ability to deliver reliable clean electricity.

Łukasz Jankowski said the agreement supports Poland’s renewable energy ambitions by securing long-term access to competitively priced clean electricity. He added that the partnership with Uniper will help strengthen the company’s supply portfolio while contributing to Europe’s broader climate and energy security objectives.
