The Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL), on behalf of Telangana’s distribution companies (TGDISCOMs), has filed a petition before the Telangana Electricity Regulatory Commission (TSERC) seeking approval for tariffs and consent for power purchase and supply agreements covering 2,545 MW of solar power.
The proposed procurement includes 1,045 MW from NTPC and 500 MW from NHPC under Phase-II Tranche-III of the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) scheme. Another 1,000 MW is proposed to be procured from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) under the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) Tranche-IX.
Following the petition, TSERC issued a public notice inviting comments, suggestions, and objections from stakeholders and the general public.
Interested parties can submit their written responses to the Secretary, TSERC, or send them via email to [secy-tgerc@telangana.gov.in](mailto:secy-tgerc@telangana.gov.in). Submissions must reach the Commission by 5:00 PM on August 24, 2026.
