Construction work on the project is now underway and progressing according to the planned development schedule. The project is expected to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s renewable energy capacity and support the state’s growing electricity demand through large-scale clean power generation.

The solar project has a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) and was awarded to Hindustan Power through a competitive bidding process in 2025. Once operational, the project will contribute to the state’s clean energy generation and support its broader energy transition efforts.

Commenting on the development, Ratul Puri, Chairman, Hindustan Power, said, “The 435 MWp solar project in Uttar Pradesh marks an important milestone in our renewable energy expansion. Uttar Pradesh is experiencing growing energy demand alongside an increasing focus on renewable energy, and projects of this scale will play an important role in strengthening the state’s clean energy capacity.”
