Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a subsidiary of Waaree Energies Limited, has received a Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) for the development of a 5 MWp grid-connected solar photovoltaic project in India. The contract includes turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, along with comprehensive Operations and Maintenance (O&M) responsibilities for a period of 10 years.
The company announced the development through a regulatory filing submitted to the BSE and National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) on October 8, 2026, in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
According to the filing, the order involves the execution of a 5 MWp grid-connected solar PV project under a turnkey EPC arrangement. Waaree Renewable Technologies will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction activities associated with the project, followed by long-term operations and maintenance services.
The company stated that the EPC portion of the project is scheduled to be completed within 12 months from the date of issuance of the Letter of Acceptance. Following completion of the EPC work, Waaree Renewable Technologies will undertake comprehensive O&M services for 10 years, as specified under the contract terms.
The order has been awarded by a domestic public sector undertaking and is classified as a commercial contract. However, the company has not disclosed the identity of the awarding PSU, the project’s geographical location, or the financial value of the contract.
Waaree Renewable Technologies also confirmed that neither its promoters nor its promoter group companies have any interest in the entity awarding the contract. Additionally, the order does not fall under related-party transactions, as disclosed in the regulatory filing.
The latest order adds to Waaree Renewable Technologies’ solar EPC activities and provides an opportunity for continued involvement in the project through its long-term maintenance responsibilities. The combination of turnkey project execution and a 10-year O&M arrangement is expected to support the company’s participation in solar infrastructure development and asset maintenance.
The development also highlights continued public-sector participation in India’s renewable energy expansion, with grid-connected solar photovoltaic projects contributing to the country’s efforts to increase clean electricity generation capacity.
The 5 MWp solar project represents another addition to Waaree Renewable Technologies’ project execution commitments, reinforcing its involvement in the engineering, construction, and long-term maintenance of renewable energy infrastructure in India.
